The short version
Goal-Free Habit Tracker does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server. The app sends nothing anywhere, because it contains no networking code at all.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you record — habits, entries, amounts, day notes, and check-in answers — is stored on your device, in a container shared between the app and its home screen widget. Lupa Tech, LLC has no access to it. We cannot read it, recover it, or delete it for you.
The app does not use iCloud sync. Its database is configured with CloudKit explicitly disabled.
Health data
If you choose to allow it, the app reads step and sleep data from Apple Health to display alongside your own records as context. This is read-only: the app never writes to Health and requests no permission to do so. Health data is read on your device, used only to draw what you see on screen, and is never copied into the app’s own storage or transmitted anywhere.
You can decline Health access, or revoke it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. The app works fully without it; the Health rows simply do not appear.
We do not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than displaying it to you, and we do not share it with anyone.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. The app contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party SDKs.
Export files
You can export your records to a JSON or CSV file. That file is created on your device and goes wherever you choose to send it. Once you share it with another app or service, that destination’s privacy practices apply, not ours.
Three things that are honestly not under our control
We would rather be precise than claim more than is true:
- Device backups. If you have iCloud Backup or encrypted local backups enabled, your device backup may include this app’s data. That is Apple’s backup of your device, under your Apple account, governed by Apple’s privacy policy — not something we receive or can access.
- Crash reports. If you have enabled sharing analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash diagnostics. These contain technical information about a crash. They do not contain your records or your Health data.
- TestFlight. If you are testing a pre-release build, Apple collects installation and feedback information and shares it with us, as described in Apple’s TestFlight terms.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
